Hurdle Taken: German Parliament Passes EuroFund Expansion

As expected, the German parliament on Thursday passed the expansion of the euro backstop fund, the EFSF. The bill calls for the fund's borrowing capacity to be increased to 440 billion euros and must still be approved by several euro-zone member states. Some, though, say the expansion is insufficient.
