Germany sees 2012 growth of 1.8%: minister

Output in Germany is set to grow by 1.8 percent in 2012, Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said Wednesday, giving the government's first forecast for next year.

Earlier Wednesday, Bruederle published official forecasts for 2011, estimating that Europe's top economy would grow 2.3 percent, much faster than the previously estimated 1.8 percent.
