Germany face Croatia after defeating Poland

Klagenfurt -- Coach Joachim Loew is looking for a win against Croatia in Germany's second Group B match on Thursday in Klagenfurt to all but book his side's place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2008.

Germany beat Poland 2-0 in their opening game Sunday while opponents Croatia prevailed 1-0 against co-hosts Austria.

"We have to remain focused to ensure we are in the perfect frame of mind," said Loew.

A win for Germany would see them guaranteed a place in the last eight if Austria fail to beat Poland in the day's other game.

"Everyone is up for this game. They want to get the three points and secure a place the quarter-finals," said Loew's assistant Hansi Flick in Klagenfurt.
