IFFEZHEIM, GERMANY - The village of Iffezheim near Rastatt in Germany has said no to the request from an English tour operator to construct a tent-village for 5,000 English football fans.

A village official said on Monday that they turned down the request to hold the camp - some 20 kilometres away from where the English team will be staying during the World Cup - as it would place too great a burden on the village.
