German police in major raid on Hells Angels
German police carried out a major operation against the Hells Angels biker gang on Monday, with more than 900 officers including armed commandos mounting raids in three states, authorities said.
Police have uncovered plans by the Angels' Charters Borderland chapter in Pforzheim, southwest Germany to murder leading members of the rival United Tribuns gang, prosecutors said in a statement.
The two gangs clashed violently in Pforzheim in late November, with at least one shot fired at the United Tribuns and one Hells Angel receiving life-threatening knife injuries, the statement added.
The raids on 22 homes and four other premises took place in Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
