BERLIN, Oct 15, 2007 (AFP) - German police confirmed Monday they will reinforce border controls with the Czech Republic ahead of the midweek Euro 2008 qualifier between the two countries in Munich.

"Border police will prevent football fans deemed as violent from entering Bavaria and will push them back to the Czech Republic," German police said in a statement.

Germany are already through to the Euro 2008 finals next year, with the second-placed Czechs, chasing the second qualifying spot.

Czech fans have a reputation for violence during international ties.
