German economy grew by 0.4 pct in Q4 2010: statistics

The German economy, Europe's biggest, grew by 0.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010, figures released on Tuesday by the national statistics office showed.

For all of 2010, the Destatis office confirmed the economic expansion of 3.6 percent initially estimated in January, marking the strongest growth since east and west Germany were reunited in late 1990.
