KARLSRUHE - A court in Germany has slapped a fine of about EUR 600 on a sex therapist who likes to jog in the nude.

The district court in Karlsruhe convicted 55-year-old Dr Peter Niehenke of indecent exposure for having strutted his stuff in the buff through a Freiburg park last December.

Two 25-year-old female students lodged a complaint against the man.

He was clad only in socks, jogging shoes and a nylon stocking over his genitals - "to keep them warm" as he told the court.

Niehenke, a psychiatrist who touts the "sexually liberating" benefits of public nudity, is a repeat offender.

In recent years he has been apprehended half a dozen times, racking up fines totalling about EUR 2,436.
