ROSTOCK, GERMANY - A joint venture company set up in China by Germany's Nordex has won a contract worth 120 million euros (140 million dollars) to supply a wind farm in Ningxia province, Nordex said Friday.

Based in the port city of Rostock, northern Germany, Nordex manufactures wind-generating plants.

The venture, Nordex Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd, is to construct a wind farm with total capacity of 200 megawatts by 2009. Some of the turbines and blades are to be made in Rostock starting next year so that Chinese technicians can be trained on them.
