German autobahn coated in 19 tons of chocolate

7 August 2006, ALLERINGERSLEBEN, GERMANY - German highway-maintenance workers were struggling Monday to clear a hard chocolate coating off an autobahn after a truck overturned, emptying 19 tons of oozing liquid chocolate on the road. Saxony-Anhalt state police said the driver was seriously injured Sunday night when the truck careered off the A2 highway, connecting Braunschweig and Magdeburg in the centre of Germany, and crashed. The chocolate set in contact with the air.
