FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - German athletes who miss two out-of-competition doping tests will be excluded from next year's Beijing Olympics.

Team candidates will be required to register any change of residence with anti-doping officials for out-of-competition tests and two missed tests will mean exclusion from the team, the country's Olympic sports union said Tuesday.

Athletes who have admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs in the past also will be left out of the Olympic team.

That means cyclist Erik Zabel would have been ineligible. Zabel has admitted to doping in the 1990s and has himself ruled out of the Olympics.
