German airports hit again by strikes
More than 100 flights at Hamburg airport in northern Germany were cancelled Wednesday as security staff staged a further day of walk-outs.
Out of a total 181 departures, some 115 were cancelled, while 25 out of 181 arrivals were also cancelled, a spokeswoman for the airport's operator said.
Germany's main regional airports have been hit in recent months by strikes over pay by security staff responsible for checking passengers and hand luggage.
Unions are planning to stage further walk-outs at two other regional airports in Cologne-Bonn and in Duesseldorf on Thursday.
