The Short Age - Call for Submissions

Born out of frustration, THE SHORT AGE is a collection of original work by people you meet all the time. We’re after amateur art in all forms, be it written, drawn, rabid or quaint. We distribute within Kreuzberg, Neukölln and Friedrichshain and are currently looking for content for our 3rd issue, which should be out by the end of May. The pieces we have already received deal with fear, codes and dirty carpets, so if you like the themes you can adhere to one of these or not, as the case may be.

Please send all correspondence to theshortage@gmail.com before the 24th May. We are happy to publish in German, as well as English.

Poetry submissions wanted for PULSE - Berlin/New York Journal

Anya Kinneavy is currently creating a poetry section for the journal ‘Pulse Berlin’ (www.pulse-berlin.com) – which is published in Berlin and New York, and comprises a wide mixture of art, philosophy, articles, interviews, literature…- and would like to publish a selection of poems from contemporary Berlin poets (both English and German).

For this edition, I am looking for writing based on the theme of ‘War and Peace’. If you have any poetry or other creative writing you feel would that would fit the theme (and we are very open to artistic interpretation!), or feel inspired to write a piece, please send submissions or idea pitches to Anya Kinneavy at anya.k@hotmail.co.uk. Deadline approximately mid May- but negotiable- just get in touch.
