MUNICH - Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn reiterated in interviews published on Friday that he is set to leave Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich for abroad for the new season.

Kahn, 35, said he was in contact with clubs, but gave no further details in interviews with the Bild and tz dailies which came two days after the Germany captain and his team-mates were eliminated from Euro 2004 in Portugal.

”I will look for a new challenge and believe that Bayern won’t stand in the way. There are contacts,” Kahn said.

Kahn had announced last month that a summer move was his last chance to get a big contract at another club after a decade in Munich, where he has a contract until 2006.

Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said earlier in the week that there were no offers so far Kahn, who will likely cost a huge transfer fee. He also said that Munich were not out to sell him.

”I know nothing about an offer for him and have not offering him,” said Rummenigge.
