THE HAGUE - Dutch firms operating in the Czech Republic have offered a bonus of koruna 130 million (EUR four million) to the country's national team if they manage to beat Germany in their final Group C game at Euro 2004 later Wednesday.

The Netherlands need to beat Latvia in their final group game and hope Germany get no better than a draw against the already qualified Czechs if they are to progress to the quarter-final stages.

"Both the Czech and Dutch economies would benefit from such a victory," the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper quoted a spokesperson for the Dutch Chamber of Commerce as saying.
