Heidelberg, Germany (dpa) - A doping prevention centre with the aim of making young athletes compete clean was opened on Wednesday at Heidelberg university.

The head of the centre, Gerhard Treutlein, said that doping was not only present in high-performance sport but also in the youth and amateur sector. Apart from reaching out directly to young athletes, the centre also plans to educate coaches and teachers on the doping issue.
