Flensburg, Germany (dpa) - Danish truck drivers blockaded motorways crossing the German border, partly closing the road at two points in protest of high fines they face for traffic violations in Denmark, German police said Monday.

A police spokesman in the northern German state of Schleswig- Holstein said the blockades took place late Sunday at Harrislee near the German city of Flensburg and along the Ellund motorway.

Traffic began flowing normally again early Monday.
