A Boeing 737-800 with 183 people on board made an emergency landing at Stuttgart airport in Germany on Friday after a build-up of smoke from food overheating in the cooking area, police said.

No one on board the aircraft operated by Dutch budget airline Arkefly travelling from Amsterdam to Hurgada, Egypt, was hurt as the plane landed safely, police said in a statement.
