Body of missing German businessman found in SAfrica

The body of a German businessman known in the world of motoring, has been discovered nearly eight months after his disappearance, South African police said Sunday.

"He was found in Atteridgeville, near Pretoria," police spokesman Vish Naidoo told AFP.

"We are investigating the conditions of his death. We have to wait for the conclusions of the post-mortem."

Gembella's body had been discovered on Tuesday, he added.

Uwe Gembella, founded a company devoted to tuning sports cars such as Porsches and Ferraris. He arrived in South Africa in February on a business trip and had not been seen since.

According to reports in the South African press he was found shot through the head and with his hands tied behind his back.
