Body found in Cologne archives rubble

Two men aged 17 and 23 were reported missing after the building holding documents covering over 1,000 years of the west German city's history and two adjacent apartment blocks collapsed last Tuesday.

Cologne -- Emergency workers pulled a dead body out of the rubble of an apartment block early Sunday that collapsed along with Cologne's city archives building last week, the German fire brigade said.

Two men ages 17 and 23 were reported missing after the building holding documents covering over 1,000 years of the west German city's history and two adjacent apartment blocks collapsed last Tuesday. The cause of the accident is still not known.

The body was found shortly before 2:00 a.m.. The search for a second man was continuing "feverishly," fire brigade spokesman Daniel Leupold said.
