28 September 2004 , BERLIN - Officials of the Berlin Film Festival unveiled plans Tuesday for an international fund to promote filmmaking in the Third World. The World Cinema Fund, assisted by German federal funding, is designed to benefit filmmakers in Latin America, the Mideast, Central Asia and Africa. Funding for production and distribution of films in those regions will be available in 2007, the officials said.
