Austrian man killed entire family with axe
A man from Austria has turned himself into police, admitting to the murder of his family a week ago
Vienna -- A 39-year old Austrian man is believed to have killed five members of his family, among them his 7-year-old daughter, with an axe, authorities said on Wednesday.
The man turned himself in in Vienna, telling police he had killed his wife and daughter. Police found the bodies and now believe the suspect is also responsible for the murder of his parents and father-in-law.
Their bodies were discovered Wednesday morning at their homes in two towns in the province of Oberoesterreich, about 170 kilometres from the capital.
Those murders, to which the man also admitted, were committed Tuesday evening, police officials were quoted as saying by the Austrian press agency. DPA
