28/09/2011Where to learn German

Where to learn German Expatica offers a selection of language schools in Germany.

In order to feel comfortable in Germany, you have to know the language. The ability to converse in the local language is a key element in getting a job, and meeting new people. It is also important to know certain things about Germany, such as the history, culture and legal system. Depending on the type of visa you have, it is also possible that you might qualify for discounted Integration courses.

For those with more time, there are several websites catering to people who are diligent, but not always able to attend a class. Two such websites are Live Mocha and Lingq. They have different programmes and methods of learning, but provide a variety of reading, writing, speaking and listening activities that certainly help.

You might also want to visit this website for a guide to German language schools in Germany.
