Geneva | 14/05/2009 - 05/07/2009 Giacometti, Balthus, Skira - The Labyrinthe years (1944-1946)

Exhibition of the work of the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti, the French artist Balthus and the French publisher Albert Skira for the publication Labyrinthe. After having directed the journal Minotaure in the 1930s, Skira launched Labyrinthe at the end of the war (1944-1946) with the assistance of Giacometti and Balthus. Skira's intention was to offer a “platform” of expression for Parisian intellectuals and artists who had been lacking such a vehicle during the war years.
