WTO hands over latest verdict in EU-US aircraft clash
The World Trade Organisation on Monday delivered a confidential ruling to the United States and EU on their dispute over US public aid to aircraft giant Boeing, a source close to the body said.
"The report was sent to the parties," the source confirmed.
Under the Geneva based trade body's rules, both sides are meant to keep the report of the WTO dispute settlement panel confidential for about three more months.
The ruling marked the latest episode in seven year long tit-for-tat battle between Washington and the 27-nation European bloc over subsidies or state aid for the world's two biggest civil aircraft makers.
It followed a ruling last June that partially upheld Washington's parallel complaint against subsidies for Airbus.
