Swiss vote on EU migrant curbs too close to call: polling agency

The result of a Swiss referendum on curbing immigration by European Union citizens was too close to call Sunday, a polling agency said, as the spectre of a row with Brussels loomed.

Based on a combination of partial results and estimates, the gfs.bern public opinion institute said 50 percent of voters had backed each camp in the "Stop Mass Immigration" vote, and that the margin of error was three percent.
