Swiss unemployment climbs to 3.6 percent in November
The Swiss unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage points in November to 3.6 percent, the latest official data showed on Tuesday.
The number of people registered as unemployed rose to 141,668, an increase of 2,303 from October, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) said in a statement.
The number of registered unemployed fell by 13.6 percent, or 22,282 people, from the level in November last year, however.
The November increase in the unemployment rate was the first since January, when the rate was 4.5 percent.
SECO economists expect the unemployment rate to average 3.9 percent this year, and drop to 3.7 percent next year.
