Protestors on Saturday demonstrated in Switzerland's capital Bern and the northern city of Zurich, carrying posters and banners demanding "Save People Not Banks".

Around 100 people gathered in front of the parliament house in Bern, Swiss newswire ATS reported.

In Zurich, another 200 demonstrators inspired by the Occupy Wall Street protests and Spain's indignants gathered in front of the headquarters of major Swiss banks.

Most demonstrators were young people, but there were also families and older people.

Unlike last week's protest, which was unauthorised, Saturday's march in Zurich had the approval of local authorities.

In addition, 70 activists remained camped out in a city park.

Meanwhile in Geneva, over 30 similar tents could be found in the city centre.
