Swiss government set for change next month

An election in late September seems likely for the replacement of two cabinet ministers who are stepping down from the Swiss government. Bowing to political pressure, Transportation Minister Moritz Leuenberger backpedals from plans to stay in office until the end of the year to counter the calculations of the Radical party, which hopes to replace Finance Minister Hans-Rudolf Merz, who is quitting in October.
