Swatch chairman dies of heart attack
Swatch, the world's biggest watch maker, said on Monday that its chairman Nicolas Hayek died of a heart attack while working in the company's offices earlier in the day.
Hayek, who was 82, cut a high profile in the world of Swiss watch-making and was one of the most well known and liked Swiss business leaders.
He founded Swatch, which owns brands such as Breguet, Blancpain, Omega, Longines in addition to its eponymous line, in 1985 with a group of investors by merging two Swiss watchmakers.
