Siemens Healthcare to shed 1,000 posts: CFO
Siemens Healthcare plans to shed about 1,000 jobs across its global diagnostics division amid sluggish growth, the company's chief financial officer told Swiss media on Wednesday.
"We are going to cut six to eight percent of about 15,000 jobs worldwide in the diagnostic division," of the German electronics giant subsidiary, Michael Sen said in an interview with the economic newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft.
Sen cited pressure on profit margins and slow growth in the sector, estimated at between three and five percent over the next two or three years.
"Regarding our own growth, we will be below (that figure)," he said.
