Sheep farmers harbour wolf fears despite Berns aid

With up to 20 wolves wandering around Switzerland, preying on flocks of sheep left to graze freely in mountain pastures, farmers believe the predators receive too much protection from the government in Bern. But this week the federal environment department announces further funding intended to promote cohabitation with the wild animals, whose presence has grown in the last 10 years.
