Saint Bernards return to their historic mountain pass

Saint Bernard dogs, iconic symbols of Switzerland, are again spending the summer in the Valais mountains, like their ancestors from the last three centuries. With snow-bound roads at last passable, the Barry Foundation transports the dogs this week to the hospice at the 2,500-metre Great Saint Bernard pass where visitors can see them in the flesh and even accompany them on walks.
