MeteoSwiss expects a record amount of snow in parts of Western Switzerland - 30 centimetres - over a 24-hour period ending today, which leads to transportation chaos. Flights at Genevas airport are grounded for at least half a day and the cantons bus service is idled as crews attempt to clear traffic-snarled streets and sidewalks, while the weather also disrupts train service in Vaud.
