Talks between world powers and Iran on Tehran's disputed nuclear programme were "constructive" and forward moving, a member of the Iranian delegation told AFP Monday, following a first day of discussions.

"The negotiations were constructive, they are forward moving," said the official.

"They should resume tomorrow at 9:00 am to fix the framework for future discussions during which we could talk about nuclear disarmament and about cooperation in the civil nuclear domain. The (nuclear) right of Iran will not be discussed," he said.

"If we agree on a framework, we could have several sessions of negotiations," the official added.
