A probe undertaken by Liechtenstein police into industrial espionage claims surrounding Renault executives has led to no results, a source close to the investigation told AFP Thursday.

"A request was made to Liechtenstein authorities" in the Renault case, the source said, but the inquiry revealed that the bank account number provided did not exist.

"Apparently, the information was wrong. The investigation led to no results," said the source.

In France, source close to an investigation by French police said Thursday that their investigation had found no trace of Swiss bank accounts the accused managers were alleged to have.

Renault has sacked three top managers in the past month over alleged industrial espionage and has launched legal action. The three executives have denied the allegations and struck back with lawsuits for defamation.
