IATA calls for action to address volcanic ash problem

Drifting volcanic ash will once again move into Swiss air space on Tuesday, says the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, meaning airports are on high alert. With no end in sight for the eruptions in Iceland, the Geneva based industry association, IATA, warns again that European countries need to cooperate more in order to handle the lingering problem. IATA nonetheless publishes promising data on premier class flights, which will bolster industry revenues.
