Greece will continue to get help: French finance minister
French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde said on Tuesday that the international community would keep on helping Greece, as experts began an audit of the country's finances.
"We have been rescuing for a year and we will keep up," Lagarde told journalists on the sidelines of a conference on the international monetary system.
Greece is struggling to meet its deficit-reduction targets because of a deeper-than-expected recession, and a next 12-billion-euro loan instalment is crucial to its finances.
Experts from the European Union and International Monetary Fund began a routine audit of the country's finances and reforms on Tuesday to determine if it merits a further slice of rescue funding and any conditions.
Greece received a bailout programme a year ago involving loans of 110 billion euros ($157 billion) over three years.
