Expats key driver of Swiss economy, report says

A new UBS study says an influx of highly trained immigrants from the European Union, including the UK and Ireland, is one of the key reasons why the Swiss economy is outperforming neighbouring countries. An article in the banks Outlook Switzerland report maintains that unrestricted mobility of workers from the oldest EU-member countries is helping counteract underlying weak growth by boosting consumer spending and bolstering the real estate market.
