EPFL hunts for carbon dioxide storage solutions

Lausannes federal institute of technology EPFL creates a chair dedicated to the study of long-term underground storage of carbon dioxide. With a 2.5 million franc injection of cash from Petrosvibri, a group searching for natural gas under Lake Geneva, research will attempt to answer tricky questions including those involving tectonic movements and the potential for storage in the Alpine formation.
