Domestic growth offsets export weakness, panel says

A panel of federal government experts says the resilience of the Swiss domestic economy - particularly, robust consumer spending - is offsetting the impact of the high franc, which is hammering exports. In a quarterly forecast issued on Tuesday, the group revises upward its growth prediction for GDP growth to 1.5 percent, although this marks a slowdown from the current year and continuing uncertainties cloud the horizon.
