GENEVA -- A lawyer for two ex-servants of Hannibal Gadhafi, son of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, says a complaint against the young Gadhafi in Switzerland has been dropped.
Lawyer Francois Membrez, representing the former servants, says the complaint for alleged bodily harm, making threats and coercion has been rescinded in a "free manner".
Membrez said Tuesday that his clients have been compensated and given temporary visas to stay in Switzerland.
The July arrest and charging of Gadhafi and his wife led to a diplomatic crisis between Libya and Switzerland. Libya responded with a series of moves against Swiss expatriates and commercial interests.
Libya also arrested the brother and mother of one of the servants. Membrez says the mother has been freed, but there has been no word on the brother.
