Cabinet scolded as SNB shines in UBS crisis report

While parliamentarians have got it in for the federal government Finance Minister, Hans-Rudolf Merz in particular the Swiss National Bank escapes criticism in a report on Berns handling of the economic crisis and the near-collapse of its largest private financial institution, UBS. A heady atmosphere persists in parliamentary chambers which debate this week whether to approve a treaty allowing for the release of 4,450 UBS account details to the US authorities.
