The exhibition season opens at Ascona's Modern Art Museum with a show charting its impressive collection. "1922 The Origins" includes works by more than 50 artists who lived or painted in the area, including Paul Klee and the 'Russian Rembrandt', Marianne von Werefkin, who founded the museum. A century ago, Ascona and neighbouring Monte Verit were home to artists, anarchists and modernist thinkers from all over Europe.
