LONDON – British soul singer Amy Winehouse was discharged from hospital Tuesday after receiving overnight emergency treatment for a reaction to "medication," a spokesman for London's University College Hospital said.

An ambulance was called to the 24-year-old's house in Camden, north London, Monday evening.

The singer (Back to Black, Rehab) has been battling health problems and drug addiction.

The 27-months-jailing of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for trial-fixing over a pub brawl has added to her stress, according to her family.
