Bern Chapter of the Geneva based non-funded, volunteer parent network, aiming to support the families of children with special needs and learning difficulties. ASK collects and disseminates information, sharing experiences relating to special needs issues in the region. The group focuses on assisting English-speaking parents, and welcomes parents of different nationalities, seeking assistance or information on special needs and learning difficulties issues.

The ESP was founded in 1985 as a non-profit, co-operative association run by a voluntary committee of parents and helpers. It was originally run solely as a playgroup for English speaking children, however we have now grown into a "playgroup" that also offers reading, writing and examination classes for children aged 5 - 18 years old, classes for children who speak very little or no English and we continue to offer our original playgroup classes for children aged 3-6 years old.
