Opera - Le Cid Zurich | 13/01/2008 - 09/02/2008
The living portrait that I present here depicts a rather remarkable hero amidst the laurels with which he is covered. His life was an uninterrupted series of victories, and even his corpse helped to win battles when it found its way to his army. Now, after six hundred years, his name has also been revived in France and been so favourably received everywhere that he will probably have to acquiesce to being abducted from his native land and forced to speak a language other than his own.
