BERNE, Switzerland - Winds up to 150km/h blew down trees blocking roads and disrupting traffic across part of Switzerland overnight.

Zurich was the canton most affected by Storm Emma over the Baltic Sea which caused damage across Europe from Austria to Denmark.

The A1 near Bertschikon and the A3 near Thalwil were closed, according to Zurich police and a number of stationary cars damaged.
