Exhibition presenting reconstituted boutiques covering a period of two hundred years, beginning in the 1800s with boutiques built in the First Empire style, through to eBay, the virtual boutique of today. Visitors are immersed in the experience of window shopping, reliving this unique thrill through the ages. Since it was created, the Fondation pour l'Architecture has presented about hundred exhibitions devoted to contemporary architecture, history and the architectural heritage, topical issues, urbanism, design and all the art forms related to the constructed environment: landscaping, urban art, furniture, lighting. It is particularly concerned with promoting the quality of architecture in its relationship with the city and everyday life and has always tried to emphasise the links between the different domains of contemporary creation.
