Turkish nationalists hack VLAO website

29 October 2007, BRUSSELS – It looks as if Turkish nationalists managed to hack the website of the Flemish Agency for Enterprise (VLAO). A message appears on the site from someone calling themselves "Brian," who speaks on behalf of Turks and Muslims.

BRUSSELS – It looks as if Turkish nationalists managed to hack the website of the Flemish Agency for Enterprise (VLAO). A message appears on the site from someone calling themselves "Brian," who speaks on behalf of Turks and Muslims.

The author warns the Belgian government that support to the Kurdish rebel movement PKK will be costly. In eastern Turkey on Sunday another Turkish soldier was killed after treading on a landmine. The Turkish army says the mines were laid by Kurdish rebels.

The incident took place during a military operation against the PKK, several hundred kilometres from the Iraqi border. 20 Kurds were reportedly killed in the operation.
